Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue Adoption Application Information
Thank you for contacting NNKCR about adding a new member to your family. We would love to match you with a great rescue dog. Please fill out this form so that we may find out more about you and your family. This will help ensure that you and your dog are the right fit for each other.
An adoption donation of $300 (under 7 years) or $200 (7 years and older) is requested. Medical expenses incurred, breed or specialized training may warrant higher donation requests, so that we may continue to rescue other dogs. An additional $200 refundable deposit for spay/ neuter/ microchip will be required on puppies that have yet to be altered and microchipped.
Pet ownership is a serious commitment that the entire household needs to consider and agree to this before the animal is adopted. We want to ensure that each adoptive household is aware of--and willing/able to accept the physical and financial responsibilities of pet ownership. Not everyone that desires a pet is ready to properly care for one.
By submitting the form, you are agreeing that:
You understand all of the questions and have completely read the application and understand that this NNKCR dog MUST be indoors and this dog will not be chained/ penned outside. You further understand that if for any reason you want to give up this dog, you will call NNKCR, and undergo a 14 day waiting period in which representatives of NNKCR will work with you to resolve any issues with the dog. You also understand that a representative from the organization may visit the dog to ensure that it is well taken care of; if we find that the dog has been neglected or abused in any way or for any reason, we reserve the right to remove the dog from the premises. Your form submission below authorizes us to do so as necessary, and automatically transfers ownership rights of said dog back to NNKCR at that time.
Submission of the adoption application does not guarantee that you will be adopting the dog. It is the first step of the adoption process. Please be aware that processing your application will take time and that NNKCR will make every effort to complete the process in a timely fashion. The number of applications being processed, our ability to make contact with the listed references/ veterinarians and the number of volunteers available to help will affect how quickly the application is processed. You are welcome to check-in with us at any time to get an estimate on completion. Generally, the process takes less than two weeks.
Important Notice: NNKCR makes no guarantee in reference to the health of the dog. The dog is adopted "AS IS" and the adopter assumes responsibility for the treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. The rescuer shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses which may be incurred, hereby expressly excluding any implied or express warranties, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose, including without limitation and warranties regarding health, temperament or whether the animal is housebroken. Nebraska No kill Canine Rescue is not liable if the dog bites anyone after guardianship is transferred. You are solely liable for the dog's behavior.
