Welcome to Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue

We appreciate all who supported our Tommy’s Express "Wash for a Cause" fundraiser on June 27th! Thanks to everyone's collective generosity, $1,699 was raised to help our dogs find the loving forever homes they deserve.

We are so grateful to the whole team at Tommy’s Express Car Wash for partnering with us and making this event such a success, especially to Doug Jamison, General Manager of Tommy’s Express (70th & O St) in Lincoln, and Raleigh Sadler, Tommy’s Regional Leader – Nebraska, for their support, leadership and commitment to giving back to our community.

Did you ever imagine that you can save space in our landfills and save canine lives in the process? Well, you sure CAN! And what could be better?? Here’s how it works…

Sadoff Iron & Metal Company is partnering with Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue on a Cans for Canines program called “You Can Save Canines.”

Bring your empty aluminum cans and bring them to us at Pet Wants, 5200 South 48th Street, Suite 2 and help us fill the stock trailer full of cans (drop off times will vary, but we’ll announce days and times on Facebook). We’ll redeem them and use the funds to help pay for veterinary care and training for the dogs we have that might need medical or behavioral rehabilitation.

If you can’t make it to one of our drop off days, Sadoff is also willing to directly accept your aluminum cans or any scrap metals that qualify. So drop off your donations at Sadoff between 7:30 am and 4 pm Monday-Friday (note they do close 12-12:30 pm for lunch) and PLEASE make sure to tell them you want the money donated to our Cans for Canines program! It’s that easy!! Sadoff Iron & Metal Company is located in Air Park just east of NW 48th Street off Cuming Street. The address is 4400 W. Webster Street, Lincoln, NE.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers at 28th & Cornhusker Highway sold the most plush puppies in Lincoln over the holidays, so the staff from that location was chosen to present a check to our rescue with the proceeds from all the Lincoln stores. Paisley, one of our senior dogs, is also pictured, but she looks distracted by the smell of fried chicken.

We'd like to thank all the donors, shoppers and volunteers at Cause for Paws Lincoln for their generosity. Gifts like this impact the lives of dogs that need our help in finding new homes. We are so grateful and hope you'll all continue to support Sue's store.

Special thanks to the more than 100 people who attended our fundraisers the last two Saturdays and especially to Zeng Countertops & Surfaces for their $2,500 donation to help the dogs needing our care in finding furever homes. Owner Tim Zeng and his whole staff were amazing, so we hope our fans will follow them and spread the word. They are also hiring, so go visit Henry, the golden retriever, and the friendly, dog-loving people at Zeng and tell them Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue sent you!
